The following itinerary incorporates the beach and berg landscapes of the Zulu Kingdom including: the bustling city of Durban, a 4x4 Trail up Sani Pass to Lesotho, a World Heritage Sites - the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg, this stunning mountain range has an abundance of ancient San rock paintings of cultural interest and the quaint country experience of the Midlands with it’s world-class arts and crafts industry.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Durban
You will welcomed by an Ambula Tours representative at Durban International Airport, and will be taken on a city tour of Durban. Durban is South Africa’s third largest city, an exciting hub around a busy harbour. You will be taken to Durban’s newest addition - the uShaka Marine World, the fifth largest marine park in the world (the theme park entry is for optional and for own account).
Overnight: Protea Hotel in Umhlanga

Day 2 - Sani Pass
After an early breakfast you will be transfer to Sani Pass. You will then be taken on an interesting tour of the Sani Pass by 4x4 into Lesotho (passports required!). At the top of the pass you will be shown a Basotho Village. You will also stop at the local pub, where you will be able to enjoy a splendid lunch (for own account).
Overnight: The Drakensberg Gardens Golf & Leisure Resort
Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 3 - Drakensberg
After breakfast enjoy a 5km walk to the Bushman Caves and paintings. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or make use of the many facilities at or nearby the resort, including 18 hole golf course, horse riding, tennis, hiking or walking and much more.

Day 4 - Midlands
After breakfast we head for the Midlands, often compared to the midlands of England with its well-kept farms, forests, rushing rivers and picturesque country towns famous for their hospitality. The Midlands has plenty to offer and has evolved into several well-organised routes with opportunities of visiting the studio’s of talented potters and artists, weavers and leather workers or browse for gifts in the craft shops that abound throughout the region.
Overnight: The Old Halliwell Country Inn

Day 5 - Durban
After breakfast, transfer back to Durban International Airport
