Course Description
Against the amethyst slopes of the Silvermine mountains lies one of Cape Town's premier courses - Westlake. From the 1st to the 18th hole, every drive affords panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Considered the “most popular course in the Cape”, Westlake Golf Club was established in 1932. This 18-hole par 72 course is covered with lush vegetation with towering trees lining many of the fairways. Relatively flat and short parkland layout, close to the False Bay coast, the course is noted for its good drainage in winter and all-year round superb conditioning. It is not a long course and if you manage to stay out of the trees you will achieve a good score. A very interesting but user-friendly design with quite a few doglegs. Teaching professionals, Nicolaas Lochner and Clive Holmes offer expert tuition.
