Course Description
Knysna Golf Club is probably the only golf course in South Africa which can boast holes that are below sea level. When the course floods – and it does from time to time – it is possible to canoe down the fairway of the 4th hole. Because it is situated close to the famous and very beautiful Knysna Heads as well as the town’s wide, well-known lagoon, one of the great delights at the club is to sit under the trees outside the halfway house with a tall drink. The chances are pretty good that you will see the richly coloured Knysna Lourie, undoubtedly one of South Africa’s most beautiful birds, feeding among the branches above you. This is an experience well worth visiting the club for.
