Course Description
The Estate is positioned on one of the most beautiful sites in the world. It is surrounded by The Keurbooms River Estuary in the East, the N2 National Road in the West and South Africa's premier holiday resort town of Plettenberg Bay to the South. The internationally renowned Astron Hotel (German Group) and the Bitou Polo Fields are on the North side. Goose Valley was conceived by golfing icon Gary Player, and built on his land where the Player family have had their holiday home since 1982. Golfers will experience breathtaking views of the lagoon, the ocean and the Tsitsikamma Mountains, and also the beauty of the natural fynbos, trees and an abundance of animal and bird life. Goose Valley plays relatively short, but requires pinpoint accuracy as the brutal rough and high-walled pot bunkers have swallowed many a ball.
