Course Description
Just ninety minutes drive along the ocean-hugging road from Durban, the Wild Coast Sun and Country Club is a luxury resort fronted by the mighty Indian Ocean. Cut through ravines and across waterfalls, the Wild Coast Sun Country Club course presents an exciting and worthwhile golfing challenge, at the same time allowing one to experience truly spectacular views of the sea and the undulating countryside. While the course has many memorable holes, the 12th is probably the most breathtaking hole in Africa. This par-5 is played from an elevated tee down to a fairway, which cuts through the valley and then rises again to an elevated green. Since it was opened in 1983, the Wild Coast Sun course has established itself as one of South Africa’s best and is ranked in the top 10 in South Africa. The 18-hole American style course designed by Robert Trent (Jnr), is home the annual Skins Tournament which attracts the world’s best players, with 59 large bunkers guarding manicured lawns, the hole layouts and scenery border is fantastic, what’s more, when the coast breeze gets up, so does your score!

'Based on the comments from almost all of the players, it was the best tour they have even been on and I would have to agree. It was in one word 'awesome'! I have no doubt that this will become an annual event and that our association with Ambula will be a long one.' Spar Group KwaZulu Natal
