Hotel Description

The beautifully restored buildings date back to 1682 and have been declared a National Monument. This boutique hotel is a haven of serenity with a choice of nineteen elegant, air-conditioned rooms located in the original Manor House, Jonker's Huis and the restored Barn. On warm summer days or long summer evenings, you can go for a swim or enjoy a quiet cocktail by the pool. Enjoy a convivial drink in the bar, or simply the peace of one of the inviting lounges. Take a walk through the vineyards or the nearby forest. There are two lounges, one of them decorated in the traditional Cape Dutch fashion. It has copies of the transfer deeds signed by Simon Van der Stel displayed on the wall. The other is situated in the original farm kitchen with doors leading onto the formal vegetable garden. The patio offers shelter for guests to relax and perhaps catch up on the reading of a long overdue novel. The back of Table Mountain provides for a stunning view over the fairways. The gable of the building is a traditional "convex-concave' design.
