Amakhosi Lodge is a central point uniquely situated with 2 1/2 hours from St Lucia, Sodwana and Richard's Bay. AmaKhosi, translated from Zulu means "The Place of the Kings". The local Zulu community is an important anchor for AmaKhosi and its staff members as it has provided the inspiration behind the design and décor of the lodge. In keeping with the tradition, the staff members, who are mostly Zulu, have helped build a traditional Zulu Kraal as part of the lodge and, in keeping with the African style, offer Zulu dancers as entertainment to guests.
The 6 river lodges rank as the most picturesque and luxurious in the Kingdom with a blend of African charm and first-world luxury.
